Hi, I'm Umesh Patel. I am a graduating student at the Art Institute of California - San Francisco. Currently have a Bachelors in Computer Science and pursuing my second Bachelors in Visual & Game Programming. I will be graduating with the second degree in June 2006.

I have been building entertainment and business websites since 1996, including #1 Sailor Moon site (1996-1998), the #1 Power Rangers portal (1999-2001), and my South Asian dating site with over 80,000 members worldwide(2002-2005). Web skills include usage of html, php, mysql, javascript, and perl. Software used include Macromedia Studio MX(Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks), Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Hauppauge WinTV.

The wave of the future is going 3D! As a current student at AICaSF, I am harnessing abilities towards the gaming and 3d environments. Maya, 3D Studio Max, Renderman, and several others.

I am also the vice president of the VGP Club (AI-CaSF), so all VGP students are encouraged to attend the meetings. There's always a new topic that we discuss to prepare students into the industry. We will also be conducting tutoring sessions to promote the VGP club and C++/OpenGL programming.

Currently, I am a Web Developer at GoldenGate Software, where I have built their backend License Management System from the ground-up and currently working on several projects, including a new intranet for their entire company. These project involve designing and implementing their data and user interface system using perl, html, javascript, and mysql.
