Week 10

Outliner

The outliner is a QT Widget that lists the current objects in the scene. Based on the Outliner Theory from last week, the widget traverses through the list of objects and makes a selection item for each one. When a user selects the object from the Outliner, that item becomes the global current object. The user can edit this object by using the Edit Object dialog. This is a primitive method of selection and editing. I still need to fix the depth-selection bug to allow the user to select and manipulate the object correctly with the mouse. Advanced features in the outliner will be added later on. These include: parenting objects, toggle visibility of objects…etc.
